I own a 2000 FRC, I have been subscribed to this list for several months
and have yet to receive a list related E-mail. I also belong to the KOLB
list that has lots of activity, and several Corvette forums with daily
postings. Is there something wrong with my computer set up, or am I the
only Corvette owner on this list at this time? Someone please reply, I feel
so alone! Lanny PS I am shopping for a C5 for my wife, I live in
northeastern Pa.

Hey, I'm in the same boat with you. I suspect that either nobody lives here anymore, or just checking the box to sign up for the forum isn't sufficient.

I've been on the list for quite some time.....very little activity. I'm a C2 fan and have found the Corvette Forum to be very active.

Lanny,
I have a 64 roadster, all numbers match. It has a 327 250 hp single 4
barrel. It has never been apart, car or engine and presently has about
90,000 miles since new. I have owned my car for the last 15 years and would
never sell it. Ain't vettes neat. Chuck

My C2 is 66 Roadster 327-350 hp matching numbers. I've owned more years than I want to admit. Getting ready to do a frame off to enjoy a lot of cruising in retirement.
She's not for sale either.

I'm on the list too. I started the TeamGrumman-List (www.AuCountry.com).
I joined the Corvette list to see if there was any activity. That was some a few years back.
I had a 69 427 Corvette in 75. I've often pondered the concept of a 79-71 Corvette with a C-5/C-6 chassis or just a major redo of the 70-71 suspension to take advantage of newer technology. I've also thought of installing an LS-7 with a 6-speed auto in it also.
Until I have a whole lot of spare money, I'll just keep driving my Tahoe.

Hi,
I have been extremely active on a few of the more popular Corvette Forums with thousands of posts, and have just recently joined the " List ".
The reason is because I have just started to build ( from plans ) a Zenith CH 701 project, and the list seems to me as being a great place to be for help in my new project.
A C2 fan for the past 40 years, I presently own a total of five cars, some complete, and others in the building stage. An NCRS judge for many years, my present interests are mostly in the building of the more popular " Resto-Mods "

Veeery nice 65 or 66 roadster. I wish grandma would
let me build a 701, I could fly it out of the backyard
until the economy improves and they build houses back
there.

Hey Stepinwolf, what is it about CH-701s and Corvettes? I'm also scratch building a Zenith CH-701. My previous financial black hole (ie: hobby) was old cars. I've had my '79 L-48 for about ten years. About four years ago I did some "upgrades" to the engine and have never been happy with it since. Finally I am in the process of dealing with some of the details that will make this into the true performance car it should be.
I have to get my vacuum advance working correctly, I rebuilt the carb last week, I have a leaking tranny dipstick seal, I have a stripped stud on the passenger side exhaust manifold. Once all of these little tidbits are looked after I'll need to do some work to the rear suspension. Nothing too critical there but it is a 29 yr old car that has spent way too many years sitting.

Hi Doug,
I have been reading your posts for months now, and was looking for a reason to get in touch. It's nice to see another Canuck that has more then one thing in common with me.
As for the 701, I am still in the stages of setting up my shop. I do have a four car garage, but it's no place to scratch build an airplane, so I am converting a large section of my 1800 sq.ft. basement, in order to have enough space to do the building.
I already have almost all the professional tools, including the necessary hardware, ( I still have a large order to pick up at Mark's ) and will be picking up almost 4K worth of aluminum, and 4130 from " Dillsburg Aero " when I get down to the Corvette show in Carlisle in late August.
As far as the Corvettes are concerned, although I love the cars, I build them mostly for resale. Not that I wouldn't want them in my garage, but when it gets to the point that they are worth more then my house, I can not afford to keep them on my disability pension.
Keep in touch, and informed on anything " 701" that I should know about.
You have my very best regards
Bob
