Home airport and the airport you visited?



I wanted to fly the Oregon coast, but the marine ground fog dictated

otherwise.  I ended up generally following I-5.  Still an interesting

flight, but not what I wanted.



Enjoyed the flight.  I learned something about length of video clips from

Larry Cottrell.  After a few minute of flying cross country, some of the

fine edge wears off.  Don't get me wrong.  It is a really good video, but

for me it would be more interesting if a little bit shorter.

Very pretty country, thanks for taking us along. I wish more would do what you are doing. It would be nice to see some other country. Yours is as foreign to me as mine is to you. 



I am very surprised that You tube is allowing you to use current musicians for your sound track. They cut the sound off of every one of mine.

Go to Vimeo, you can upload 5 mb every week for free. The only hassle is that since you are free they upload and make available your videos after all the paying customers have been processed. Still a good deal. Make your movie, and set it to upload at night when you sleep, it will be there in the morning. No hassle, no problem.Larry

The only legal way that they have to deny you the use of music is if you are monetizing your video's. That is a copy-write infringement. If you bought the music you can use it. That is why mine are private, and I use a password. Then they have nothing to say. I also give the artist credit and tell people where to buy it.Larry

That strange because I’ve never pirated music in my life. I get most of my music from iTunes. I do produce my videos with GoPro Splice. Only because I can do it on my iPhone and it not to complicated for my simple mind. Thanks , Larry.  I guess I’ll have to learn Vimeo.George H.

There is free and uncopyrighted music available from utube for use on videos.  They are not the latest and greatest but you may find something that works for you.

Perhaps I am hard to please, but I have never found anything in all that is available that suited me. In fact finding music is the hardest part for me. Just cranky I guess.Larry

Uh - I don't think that's necessarily so, Larry. Copyright law is extremely complex and it's astounding how counter-intuitive it can be. Sometimes just using someone else's work denies them the payment that the law says they deserve for creating it - whether or not you make money from the use. Intellectual property laws an be violated much more easily than most of us realize. 

I think for most folks who "plagarize" music, the real question is - how likely is it that I'll be sued? It hasn't been that long ago that the recording industry decided to go after folks just to set an example. Even if you win - the legal costs of defending yourself can really add up.

Just curious why you take off on the grass but land on the pavement? 



I have never tried pavement with my Firefly but always preferred the grass

for landings in a taildragger.

Beautiful aircraft, beautiful country under your wings. Congratulations on living the dream. 



Perhaps to spice it up a little you might try a few different camera locations where the field of view includes some of the aircraft, the pilot, etc.

I have used snippets of copyrighted music and nothing happens. If I use the complete song, youtube will mute the audio in my video.
