Hey all, I use to own a 1992 C4 auto, that my wife drove, and a 2000 C5 FRC
manual. I think the 2000 FRC may be a collectors item as there were only
19?? copies made that year. (less than 2000) Therefore, I plan to keep that
car for a long time. However, I had no such plans for the C4. Since my
savings account was only earning 1.3% I talked my wife into trading the C4
on a 2006 C6 convertible, auto, Z51, with 12,500 miles. The C6 is awesome!
As an example, last week we were on interstate 80 doing the speed limit of
65 mph. The road was straight, dry and clear of other cars. So I punched it
just to see what it had. When it dropped down into a lower gear the rear
wheels chirped then hooked up again. That was a real surprise to me. I
backed off right away and went back to 65 mph. I never had an automatic
that would do that. The C6 had my respect as of that moment. Lanny Fetterman
